Like Karma, Surf has a style five-door shooting brake body and even hybrid powertrain, which allows users to cruise the highway on electricity and gasoline. The new car weighs about 2,500 kg, which is about 30 kg more than a four-door sedan and comes with a pair of electric motors and a battery-powered 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot motor used as a range extender when the battery is already short of energy. But this engine does not really turn a wheel, but going just a generator, sending juice to the battery.
The vehicle, which is based on the “shooting brake” style five-door hatchback, the transmission uses such as Karma, is the range of 50 miles of pure electric charge, and can go for an extra 250 miles with a combination of gasoline engine and a generator on board.
